I was sorting laundry last night and was looking at my pile of running clothes, pondering the number of shorts, skirts, tops and sports bras I have.
Here are my totals
Bras- total: 6
ones I love and wear often: 3
Shorts- total: 7
love and wear often: 6
Skirts- total: 6
love and wear often: 3
Tops- total: around 10-15
love and wear often: around 8
Oh, and I have 2 pairs of shoes. I need to pare down and get rid of the things I don't like to wear, but I have a hard time doing that since there is nothing wrong with them other than they don't fit quite right. Maybe they should all go to Goodwill.
So how much gear do you guys all have? Do you have drawers and drawers full of clothes, or just a few that you wash and rewash often?

I have so much clothing that I don't wear that often. I've taken bags full to salvation army every month or two, but there's still a ton I can cut out. Your numbers sound pretty good to me!
I have a lopsided amount of things: tons of shorts, but only a few sports bras I wear on a regular basis. So I usually do laundry every 3-4 days.
I have tons of shorts, but only about 4/5 sports bras that I go to constantly. I'm trying to build up my running top collection because I coach and we have to cover up our mid-section (laaaaameee). So right now I have seven of those. I do laundry about once a week.
I only have ONE drawer of running clothes and frankly, I need to go shopping. I need more shorts for sure - I don't have nearly enough summer stuff!
i do have a drawer just for running clothes. yet i always find myself needing more or seasonal stuff.
I have four pairs of compression shorts, but only one pair of other shorts that I like to run in, so I definitely need more shorts. I have 6 running bras, all of which get worn depending on what is truly clean, somewhat clean, or specifically for long runs. I have tech t-shirts coming out of my ears as many of the races here give them out. And socks, OMG, do I have socks. I could run every day of the week and not run out of running socks and still not need to do laundry.
So, hmm, I guess I need more shorts LOL.
I have tons of stuff. Lots of shorts although not specifically for running, have leftovers from my soccer days same with T-shirts.
i have a good amount of stuff! i usu wear cotton t-shirts (old race/event t's). i have some tech shirts (from races) but those are my "good shirts" so i DON'T like to run in them. haha. what is wrong with me???
same with my "good shorts" and "good sports bras". i wear my old (cotton) sports bras from walmart (from high school xc, aka 10th grade, aka circa 1998!) more often than i wear my newer, nicer ones. clearly i have issues....
i can usually go 2-weeks without doing laundry, and then my sports bras run low. i haven't really spent much on my collection since my shirts are from races. come to think of it i don't really buy running clothes, i usually get a pair or two of shorts for my bday and/or xmas and all my shirts are "free".
i'd probably hold on to those not-so-favorites - you know, just in case you're low on laundry or something :)
i always wear the same ones!!!!!!! esp "lounge" clothes. and sweatshirts. oh yeah and work clothes. lol. and i only wear sandals (2 pair either blue or brown) BUT this is a must- i need to get good for me shoes SOOn i think they will make a big difference.
I used to be solely a "re-washer" of old race shirts, but lately I have been buying some cuter stuff to wear, as well as tanks for the summer. I do wash everything once or twice a week though and just wear it over and over :)
With all those bras all you need is a chest
I have too many of the things that I don't care for and not enough of the ones I love. I'm finally learning to be choosy and just pay for the good stuff rather than the mediocre sale items.
um, i have a dresser for workout/running clothes... but, being in Canada, and running throughout the 4 seasons (when not injured of course) I need a wide variety of clothes, from light tights, thicker tights, long sleeve, short sleeve, jackets, hats, mitts! LOL so yes, i have a dresser dedicated to my running gear :)
I rotate through the same 3-4 running outfits! I try buying new ones, but always end up going back to my favorites anyway.
Maybe you could set up a clothing exchange through the running blogger land... I bet if everyone has stuff they don't like, they might find other people to trade stuff with.
I totally just went through my running clothes and have since weeded a few things out. I like the idea of an exchange. Someone should start that =).
i have WAY too many and i cant stop!!!! running clothes addiction :)
