Marathon Training Lasted 2 Whole Days...

..before my body told me "Whoa, slow down sister. I just grew and pushed out a baby, give me a break." In other words, I had increased pain and bleeding so I had to put running on hold again. Here I am 4 weeks postpartum and totally thought I'd be out running daily again, but I'm trying to be smart and listen to my body. I have 2 weeks until my 6 week checkup, so I'm going to wait til then before trying again. I still have plenty of time to train but could really use the calorie burning and mind clearing benefits of some good runs right now. Until then I'll get my exercise by lifting the TV remote, hiking my shirt up repeatedly and walking up and down the stairs to change diapers:)

But she's so worth it!

Great photo! Good for you listening to your body... don't push it too much! In time, you'll be back out there every day again! Take care, Mama.

My baby was 6mo before my hips felt like normal whilst running. You'll get there. Good for you for having the motivation to run.

Smart for listening to your body. Getting back to it takes time. Don't rush it!

She's adorable!

Good for you for listening to your body. You can cause a lot of problems if you push too hard too soon. The running will still be there when all your parts are back where they should be and everything is all settled. Just give it some time.

take it slow and easy. took you 9 months (and 30 hours?) to screw up the body that badly, it'll take 9 months for it to go back to normal.

Yes, unfortunately my body didn't quite follow what I was thinking on my mind. Give it a bit of time, you'll know when you're ready.

Great photo! Listen to that body girl!

Yep, Hobby Lobby does the cake decorating classes year round as long as they have enough people sign up!

I certainly wouldn't have thought about troubles like that! Too bad you can't jump right back into running but at least it's nothing serious. Enjoy the rest and downtime - I am sure you won't have much for the next 18 years? ;-)
