32 weeks!

I can't believe I'm putting a picture of myself in a bikini at 8 months pregnant on the internet, but here it is. I refuse to miss out on my last couple of months of beachgoing before we move, so I hit up Old Navy for a new swimsuit (I'm so not into the maternity tankinis I found at local maternity stores).

How far along: pic was taken at 31w 5d, today I'm 32w 1d

Total weight gain: 32lbs

Maternity clothes: I'm loving being able to wear skirts and comfy dresses and to not have to squeeze the belly into pants as often.

Stretch marks: My stomach is still stretch-mark free, but I'm afraid they're just around the corner...fingers crossed that doesn't turn out to be the case!

Sleep: I'm sleeping ok, basically it's go to sleep on one side, sleep an hour or two, get up to pee (which involves lots of groaning and sighing), lay back down and go to sleep on the other side, rinse and repeat.

Best moment this week: getting an ultrasound yesterday and seeing her sweet face

Movement: very strong! She makes me jump, and sometimes I'll have to push a body part back in a little if it's too uncomfortable, like if an elbow/knee/heel is poking me.

Food cravings: nothing specific, just carbs

Labor Signs: no labor signs, but the Braxton-Hicks contractions are more frequent now

Belly Button in or out: In but getting shallower

What I miss: being able to comfortably paint my nails, shave my legs, put on socks

What I am looking forward to: a girls weekend this Saturday night with my friend Erin, and other friend Leah who is due May 7th

Weekly Wisdom: Don't tell me that I'll be screaming for an epidural or that I'll quickly abandon cloth diapering or breastfeeding....maybe I will but I didn't ask for your opinion. And now I really want to punch you in the face. I have really had to fight some hormonal urges to tell people off...like the guy today at Petsmart. I was buying a pooper scooper, and this guy checking me out randomly says "If you don't like it, you can return it." I ask him is that before or after I use it. He says "preferably before...oh but I guess you wouldn't know if you liked it or not then." I said "yeah, that was my point." So really, he was being nice but it just irked me...ahhh, I'm a crazy person.

Milestones: based on her measurements yesterday she now weighs 4lbs 9oz and should weigh around 8 and a half pounds at 40 weeks.

You look awesome!

You are so close now! And it's no one else's business how you do things and for how long. You'll do what works best for you and what works best at first may not necessarily be what works best later and that's ok. (I gave birth with an epidural the first time and at home naturally the second and breastfed both boys for three years each, but gave up on cloth diapering after a week LOL).

WOW oh wow are you beautiful!! Love it... I had stretch marks by month 5, you are very lucky lady.. Oh ultrasounds are the BEST!

Oh yes unsolicited advice is NOT GOOD for the hormonal prego lady :) Next up "You look so big you are about to pop." There was this lady in my office when I walked past her cube she would say "Wow you are getting so big!" IRRITATING!!! I would reply "I know he is getting big."

Girl, you look great! Work it out!

LMAO at your weekly wisdom. I've never been pregnant so I wont be trying to pass along any tips :)

Have a great time with the girls.

You look great! Sending you good stretch mark vibes, sadly, mine showed up in the last two weeks. :o( Totally hear you on the advice - it seems to never end...what? I don't carry my baby around with me all day? OMG!!

You look wonderful!

And something that seems to automatically come along with both pregnancy and children is unsolicted advice and/or commentary. You just have to do your best to accept their views/opinions as gracefully as possible and then do what works best for you.

I actually kinda love pregnant women at the beach or the pool. They always look so happy.

I'm jealous it's beach weather I think it was maybe 45 here today. BRRRRRR

You just made me laugh out loud. Your belly is so cute.
It's nice you get to wear dresses. It does make things easier. I have to wear pants to work. They are hard to keep up when you have no waist and can't wear a belt.

wow you are getting so close!!
you look great. I hate all the tankinis - I bought a maternity tank top and am wearing my bikini over it.
